Change default background for Mac Logon Screen
Basically run the following command:
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow DesktopPicture "/Library/Desktop Pictures/Aqua Blue.jpg"
Note that the default Mac backgrounds are all in /Library/Desktop Pictures/.
